SolderQuik      Fine-Pitch Surface Mounting

These precisely engineered soldering tape lets you routinely perform Fine-Pitch, surface-mount (SMT) soldering on a wide variety of components. These include leaded chip carriers, surface-mount connectors, jumpers, flatcables, flexible circuits, flatpacks and others. With each component, SolderQuik brings repeatablility to the soldering process.

SolderQuik tape is ideal for original assembly, as well as for prototype and rework needs.

With two key elements, SolderQuik tape provides the extra control needed for Fine-Pitch soldering:

• A solder preform "Ribbon" supplies the exact amount of solder needed for each joint.
• An adhesive-backed plastic film, precut with a series of "Fingers" divides the melting solder evenly between adjacent leads and prevents bridging. The fingers also help to align component leads accurately with printed cuircit board pads, and keep the component in position during reflow.

HOW TO USE SolderQuik TAPE

	Step1 Locate and adhere tape on PWB with tape fingers resting between the pads.
	Step 2 Place component leads into tape slots
	Step 3 Apply flux and reflow (contact-heating or hotair)
	Step 4 Remove tape and clean

Reliable flat cable joints
Millions of solder joints have been made with SolderQuik tape for flat cable assemblies. For these applications, a two layer tape is placed on top of the cable conductors. This subassembly is then aligned over the PWB for reflow attachment.
