The "FOCUS PLUS" is a high performance digital convection Rework System with the possibility to program temperature profiles which allows safe and efficient rework of SMD and BGA components. It is a fully self contained system with integrated air- and vacuum-pumps. The integrated vacuum-cup inside the nozzle allows an automatic Lift-Off of the component. FOCUS PLUS provides full process control.

This is a high performance digital convection rework system with closed loop temperature control and air flow control. FOCUS PLUS has been engineered to allow safe and efficient rework of any SMD and BGA components. Utilizing a Microprocessor Profile Controller, the operator simply selects the appropriate removal or replacement profile and starts the rework sequence. One of each removal or replacement profile can be stored, recalled and edited with the touch of a button. To guarantee process control, the profiles can be locked to eliminate operator adjustment. |
FOCUS PLUS offers 3 modes
of operations:
LiftMode with 1 pre-programmed and 3
user-programmable removal profile.
PlacementMode with 1 pre-programmed
and 3 user-programmable placement profile.
HandMode where the maximum
temperature can be pre-programmed.

Features:
Temperature controlled forced air heating provides an efficient and gradual method that is widely recommended for reworking surface mount components. In developing a well controlled process the operator must consider that the components mass, substrate and solder will influence the rate of heating.
Airflow, temperature setting and heat source to component distance are variables, which affect the results of heating. To establish a repeatable process the operator should initially work with the FOCUS PLUS Manual mode to determine the proper setting (air flow, temperature, distance and time). Thereafter, the auto Place and auto Remove modes can be used with repeatable results. Temperature, time and airflow setting are controllable variables that will vary the output temperature at the nozzle. It should be noted that increases or decreases in the airflow setting will have a much more dramatic effect on the output temperature compared with similar increases or decreases in temperature setting.
